Our students in year 3/4 & 5/6 attend camps each year, usually for 3 nights.
Going on school camp is a great opportunity for your child. It helps to build independence in a safe environment with other adults. It develops leadership, social and physical skills. Camps help children learn about team building, working in groups and interacting with others in a different environment. Camps give students a chance to unplug from technology and explore nature and play outdoors. Students get to try new things, they gain resilience, which in turn develops confidence and self-esteem. Students often share duties, learn conflict resolution and the importance of communication in a different environment than school or home.
Our staff give up their own time to ensure that camps are carefully planned and managed to ensure activities are safe and students get the most out of the experience.
