Teaching and learning

Our school-wide pedagogical approach is based on the Explicit Teaching model and is explained in our pedagogical framework.  We aim to develop students’ higher-order thinking skills in all learning areas.  We encourage children to communicate and reflect on all areas of learning.  Data is gathered on a regular basis and used to differentiate the curriculum to meet students’ learning needs.  

Each year level aims to have all children meet the Australian Curriculum achievement standards by the end of the school year. These can be found on the Australian Curriculum website.

Every term, a class newsletter is sent home outlining teaching and learning areas covered in the term.
